Method: Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC)

Results: The positive control plate for each test organism confirmed growth inoculum 10⁴ - 10⁵ organisms/ml after 24 hours incubation and the negative control was no growth after 24 and 48 hours incubation. The inoculum of 10⁴ - 10⁵ organisms/ml for each test organism after 48 hours of incubation yielded the following MIC values:

Conclusion:

Laura Line Antibacterial Soap containing 0.3% Triclosan, DIN #02241457 completely inhibited the growth of 10⁴ - 10⁵ Vancomycin Resistant Enterococcus faecalis, Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhimurium.
